During my corporate working life in the food sector, I had the chance to understand the miracle of the fertility of soil. I dreamed of growing a product that embodied natures blessing.

Today, I was able to realize this dream and I have adopted this as a way of life for a sustainable future.

When deciding on the product to grow on this path, my past experience led me to olive oil. Producing olive oil and creating an olive oil brand that combines health and flavor became my focus.

For many years, I worked as a manager at MarSA Kraft Jacobs Suchard, a Sabancı Food Group company. I managed the sales and marketing activities of sunflower oil, margarine, olive oil, Kraft products such as coffee and chocolate. My dream of creating an olive oil brand took root during these years. Now the has come to realize this dream.

We produce our olive oil from olives that we carefully harvest from the olive trees at the foot of the Mount Ida. We offer our delicious, quality products, meticulously and processed with modern technologies, to grown both our end consumers and sales points in the domestic market. We are planning to export to various countries abroad.

On the Monsida website, we will share our olive oil adventure with you, and we will give you detailed information about olive oil and enrich your tables with our recipes.

Our Brand Story: MONSİDA

When the journey we embarked on with the desire to connect with the earth brought us to a region with rich vegetation and the most oxygen-rich air in the world, we became passionate about the beauty we saw.

When the olive, the ancient tree of the fertile soil of Mount Ida, grew and ripened its grains with the Aegean sun and the breeze of the winds coming from the sea; it became our love to transform properly it into oil and Monsida was born with this love.

Monsida is Latin for Mount Ida, meaning the Mount Ida; concepts of “Idaios” and “Idaia” in ancient myths mean living in Ida and coming from Ida. We wanted to refer to the geography where our olive groves are located with our name MONSIDA.

Monsida is the product of our olive groves on the slopes overlooking the Edremit Gulf of Mount Ida, home to many legends in mythology.

Monsida, pressed from our olives specific to the Edremit region, which we grow with sustainable agricultural practices, is a boutique olive oil with a strong aroma and rich flavor.

We press our hand-picked olives with cold press technology, within 12 hours of picking and let the oil rest in stainless tanks. During pressing, we never allow the temperature of the olive paste to exceed 20 °C. This ensures that we get the aroma and flavor we are looking for.

Careful attention and cold pressing are the secrets to the high quality of the low-acid Monsida olive oil, which has a fruity, slightly bitter, pungent taste.

Our Region

Olive oils produced in the foothills of Mount Ida in the Gulf of Edremit are among the highest quality olive oils in the world. It is widely accepted by other oil producing countries that the olive oils in our region are of high quality with low peroxide value, rich aroma and fruity taste characteristics. Our production area is located in Edremit, on the slopes of Havran Kalabak Village on a gentle incline with plenty of wind in the summer.
